Success Stories
Nortel Story

Nortel valued Cognimax's enterprise applications development experience. This project involved eLearning for proprietary software applications. The development cycle was very tight and the training had to be developed in parallel. The ability to work with and gain the respect of their analysts and developers was crucial.
Our systems engineering expertise, in particular with respect to structured programming practices allows us to easily and quickly modify existing codestreams when updates are required. All content modules are completely independent such that they can be removed or modified without impacting other modules.

"In 1997 when Nortel Networks needed an eLearning vendor to help address the training requirements for some of our proprietary financial systems, we selected Cognimax. Their previous experience developing and deploying enterprise systems allowed them to quickly understand our needs and to suggest a pragmatic, cost-effective approach for delivering the required training.
I was particularly impressed by how Cognimax became largely self-sufficient, managing to extract the required knowledge and expertise from the Nortel development team and expert user community quickly and efficiently. Throughout the development cycle I felt comfortable that I accurately understood the status of the CBT development and that the tight timelines of our Financial Systems projects were not at risk due to surprises in the development of the training products.
The CBT software Cognimax developed for Nortel operated flawlessly, and was delivered on time and on budget. Furthermore, a year later when major new system releases required that the training materials be updated, our previous training investment was preserved when Cognimax was able to revise and expand the content for a reasonable incremental cost. The CBT products developed by Cognimax allowed Nortel to offer high quality training-on-demand while reducing training costs and shortening the overall system deployment cycle."
