We believe that interactivity and unlimited opportunity to practice are absolutely essential to learning and retaining new skills. Our Entrust eLearning products use our advanced interactive simulator technology. Users learn and practice in an environment virtually indistinguishable from the real environment. They interact with the eLearning products over 100 times per hour.
In the interactive simulator used in our Entrust eLearning products, the user perceives that they have a complete "system" at their disposal. In fact, all logging on, searching the Directory, creating recipient lists, sending and receiving secured e-mail, and so on are completely simulated. Training can take place anywhere, anytime, without a costly "Test" environment for training. No special hardware or software is required to run the eLearning which means end users can take the course where it's most convenient for them, right at their desks. The training is totally self-contained and yet through the use of animation techniques, it functions just like the real applications. Using menus, in-progress animations, drop-down lists - you name it - the training product works like the real thing. Our simulators are so realistic that our customers tell us they often use our eLearning products for product demos.

We currently offer our Entrust eLearning courses in English and French.

The courses are structured to be highly effective for ongoing reference or performance support. The content is divided into small modules, each dealing with a single task and taking only two to three minutes. Wizard-like, interactive step-by-step task simulation of individual tasks is just two clicks away.

Our Web courses (like our Client courses) are built using the industry-leading Macromedia Authorware. Macromedia products are widely known and respected by Training and IT groups who have likely already approved them for use in your organization.

If you are familiar with our Client courses then you will find that the content of the Web version is identical to that of the Client version. In fact they come from the same software base and are post-processed into client-delivery format and Web-delivery format. While graphically rich and highly interactive, our new Web courses are absolutely miserly in their consumption of your computing resources and bandwidth. A complete 3-hour course is only 4MB of content downloaded as needed in 16K segments - barely a blip on the bandwidth radar screen. Take it for a spin!

"Client" became a dirty word with IT groups because software installed on users' computers often made modifications which caused serious interoperability problems. Our Client courses, built with the industry-leading Macromedia Authorware, are self-contained executables and make no other modifications to the user's environment. Most customers deploy our Client courses from a web site. Users go to the appropriate web page and download a "zip" file containing the course. The user then runs the course solely on their computer with no need for intranet access. This approach provides the easy accessibility for which the web is so valued by users but removes the requirement for subsequent intranet access. You might choose to offer this delivery to users in locations where bandwidth is limited, potentially migrating these locations to the full web version as bandwidth availability improves, or to any group of users who want to be able to take the training offline.
